Funny thing is, pay roll isn't the topic. Pay roll is what employees get. Owner operators are businesses. Not employees. These are business to business relationships, not employer to employee. This is not a difficult concept to grasp, and yet so many owner operators think like employees.

I heard, he said, she said, i read, Blah-Blah. It is amazing how people have an opinion of a company and an owner that have never met or worked for. Sitting in your trucks, bored, wanting to be part of something, believing the internet as fact and judging someone based on that alone.
Time to watch DieHard-12 for the 8th time, eat a Flying-J egg roll and close the laptop. If you really have not driven loads for Bill, just shut up.spectacle13, MidWest_MacDaddy, HDFatboy and 6 others Thank this. -
Because many are week to week. Many need a fuel card from someone and can't run on their own money. Many don't have cash on hand at all.Slowpoke KW and Lone Ranger 13 Thank this.

Im not sure if you are making excuses for them, or if you are backing up my point.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.

And perhaps if one has not been slow paid by F2F, one should shut up as well. That would only be fair.
It's equally amazing how people are falling over themselves to defend a company or owner they have not worked for.ruffrider and HalpinUout Thank this. -
What if the business agreement calls for payment within a certain time and payment is late?
Should that not be an issue because one is a business instead of an employee?skinnyb01 Thanks this. -
That's what I was wondering. The money flows through another entity befor you get it. True business to business would be direct pay to my company from the broker/customer himself, so by my money going through f2f then I nearly am an employee.

This thread has so much animosity.
Everybody just drop it.HDFatboy Thanks this. -
When you lease onto a company you are giving up a set % to take care of factoring plus misc other things as stated in the contract.
If said company says they will pay you at the end of the load/week/month or whatever they owe you the money then, not later..no EXCUSES.
Since when is OK to slow pay anyone?
You wouldn't put up with it if you were an employee so why as a business owner is it any different?
You owe you pay..very simple.
As for all the hostility that is in this thread,it's our nature to argue and fight.
When money comes into it..it goes to the next level.labagiamf, skinnyb01, deckeralliance and 1 other person Thank this. -
I don't have a dog in this fight. Just saying that there's a high percentage of truck owners that are week to week with no reserves. In this case it also seems the company doesn't have adequate reserves on hand.

Sounds to me, this entire situation is the one everybody wants to avoid. WHEN YOU GETHA MONEY RIGHT CALL ME. First slow payment and its WWWIV. I got my health to think about. Anyways I wish both parties the best of luck and if nothing else it's a learning or recon firming situation, life should go on.... AFTER I GET MY MONEY. Lol
kjoseph Thanks this.
