Was that an attack? Struck me the guy was making a statement to someone who proclaims from the mountain top to be higher and mightier with his knowledge and one upmanship. Or in my every day life we call him a know it all.

    BobSakamoto and HalpinUout Thank this.

Use your head. I agree with you that what's going on with late pay at F2F is not excusable. Silly posts like you're making just make you look foolish and are only hurting the point you're trying to make.

Yes, I do need a hug. And a cookie, and a nap, and I wouldn't say no to a beer.

Bob - the discussion has drifted from F2F in the specific to general economic theory. Spyder has been making the point that sometimes it makes sense to take the long view. It's called "enlightened self-interest" - while it may hurt me now, it will (potentially) help me later.

My dad's business relationships put food on our table growing up. He represented a client thru the throes of the savings and loan crisis in the late 80s. That client ended up failing and owed my father a significant sum but Dad still represented the client and made his fall as easy as possible. As a direct result that clients friends started tossing a few cases my Dad's way. One of those referrals turned into a major client.

Trumpeter, Adam Smith, Keynes, - in short the major economic thinkers on whom the global economy is based all agree on this though they argue it differently. Take a pinch now to make a handful later.

    No need to call names...

And I certainly admit to not knowing all.
Just ask my wife, sister, and daughters.
