You're fine to slide them back, none of the states you mentioned require you to be 41' or less.

I will try sliding the tandems back a couple of holes and reweigh. However I will have to do it tomorrow morning as i only have four hours to drive and not very many truck stops to park at on i76 east

any bottling besides Gatorade is awful about loading. I had to get reworked several times at beer distributors.
