Trailers are a hodgepodge. All Utility Reefer trailers, very few dry vans, most have skirts or the SmartTruck UT1 system, they are trying to outfit all with tails, I would say that is about half way done based on my own experience with drop and hook, tire inflation system, they also run quite a few rentals and those have no aero devices at all. I have pulled a little of each.

I stay pretty heavy. I haven't scaled a load in weeks since I have a suspension load gauge in the truck. Usually 40k and greater in the box. I have had two loads I would consider light or less than 68k. Most runs are AR to NY, FL, IL, WI, UT, AZ, PA, IN, AL, TX, MI and back.

You doing pretty well. I've an 2014 evolution with a tk apu dd15, energy 22.5 singles, 10spd direct, cruise at 58mph, .336 rears, btw I'm at 1260 rpm at 58 so I don't think you have 264's I'd bet they're 355's or a lower ratio. Trailers are reefers, 95% have skirts, and a mix from 2007's with duals and poor tire, to 2016's with energy singles and trailer tails. Almost always heavy, and I don't go east of the Mississippi so I though WY, CO, MT usually weekly I have to cross the rockies somewhere and it seems I'm always in the wind. Truck is at 8mpg since I've had it.

If I do the math, it comes out to a ratio of 2.57 on the rear. Using the formula from the Let's Truck website. Paperwork from the dealer says 2.64. It is a former fleet truck and they still run this spec in their gliders and those are 2.64 as well.

And the more carriers that haul cheap or put up with unpaid detention, the more it becomes the norm. In the USA maybe its fine to haul for $2/mile. Where I'm from, that'll put you out of business real quick. $1.35? You may as well stick to being a company guy. If you're doing just fine, then do us all a favor and sell your truck, drive a company truck and leave being a true owner operator to those who can. I didn't buy my own riggin to look like a company guy and at the end of the month take home $500 more than a company guy. I'm sure next you'll say Elogs are great! This industry is becoming more and more about the megga carriers hauling on a low profit margin in volume compared to stand up owner op's providing good service at a fair but profitable rate! And I'm sorry, but profitting 30 cents a mile is not fair!

Carriers don't set the market...demand does..you might want to try and figure that out.

It's relatively still new so the tag should be on it. Just get under and look. On the front axle housing for a silver tag about 1 inch by 3.

I'll check it out. I'm getting some Centramatics on my steers this morning. I'm getting the drives done next, when I have time. The truck goes in Wednesday morning to start my maintenance. Going to be a BIG bill for all of it.

Dispatch called and have a dedicated gig available. Arkansas to NJ 15 loads a week and it pays me 1.98 a mile. It is projected to last two months. I jumped on it.

One way. I should average 1.50 a mile or so all miles based on what I have seen on backhauls. I have been averaging 1.30-1.35 all miles so this will be a nice boost.
