I some what agree, but the point I am making is this - a lot of these driver today are clueless and then when something happens, they blame everyone else but themselves.

They only shoot themselves in the foot. Any driver who WANTS to be paid will drive whenever safely possible....Hard to earn a wage while lounging around in the truck.

That's the thing, nobody wants to earn a wage they feel they deserve a easy ride. I have heard that trailer randoms can be a S O B to move so I would at least concentrate on that part. Everything I ever pulled was fixed tandamns roll the door down and go.

Depends a lot on the age of the trailer and if they're air slide pins. Ok, yes air slide pins spoil a driver, lol.

Sounds like General Mills. When I did Werner drop and hooks there, the trailers going to the Walmart DC in Los Lunas, NM from the General Mills DC in Roanoke, TX were always ### heavy. In fact, when I scaled at the Pilot there at Exit 65/Ft. Worth, the cashiers took one look at the scale ticket and said "General Mills, right?"

No law against running the tandems all the way back from there to Los Lunas but didn't mean I wanted to, lol!

Look, the OP obviously doesn't know the laws. That's OK, I didn't know them when I started either. Nor did I know where to find them. But he did get a lot of help and refused to take it. I have to be honest, if I was celadon or whoever he would be gone. We all make mistakes. We all have stupid moments. But....

Ok I'm sorry and I'll shut up.

Nobody should be ashamed of asking for some friendly advice, but if you don't want it...don't ask.
