Companies and FMCSA turned drivers into marshmallows.

Yea and now with said driver wimping out the ld will be late..
I believe they posted Tues delivery date
Oh that's right they might take it to the drop yard and make some other smuck take it and catch all the grief about the ld being late
Wonder if someone might start looking for a different carrier to deliver their stuff with a better on time record

Oh cheap hauler. Get what you pay for.

Made me realize how superior I am with my ability to properly tell shipper how to load my trailer, as well as run down the road in compliance with axle position and weight maximums. Maybe I'm sick but I like to try to be as close as possible to 12-34-34.

When I mentioned four hours left it was on my on duty clock that had over taken the total driving hours for the day so it would have been a running clock that I cant stop and another thing I am not a new driver I been driving for awhile over a year and 7 months and my decision not drive was because the snow fall was getting worse and the company wouldn't let me go with a over gross load had i reweigh the same day anyway. I understand your criticisms of me for not rolling however as I mentioned earlier I made ajustment like some of you stated and the weight wasn't any better. I know when I can drive with a load and this load made it impossible to roll on

The first time you weighed it you were 79220. You weren't over gross until you waited for the storm to come and now you picked up 1700 pounds worth of snow.

If you go back to the shipper now, they won't only be annoyed that the load hasn't moved, they likely won't take any off because you can indeed be legal with that weight. What will you tell them? Only load you to 76,000 just in case you pick up even more snow? If you did that to me, I would unload the entire truck, and find someone else to haul it.
