Correct, lots of preservatives and sodium. Many are not educated on this. Usually when we are, it's due because our health starts to detoriate and we change our eating habits and learn more about what we choose to eat.

Coffee is definitely better than Mt Dew or energy drinks.

That depends on how strong it is and how much you drink.
And how much sugar you pump into it.

But, I do need my mug of coffee at the start of a shift.

Living healthy has without a doubt been the toughest thing to accomplish on the road. I feel like I've aged ten years in four. About six months ago I quit using creamer and sugar in coffee, which has made a difference. After a week went by, the switch became fairly easy. Now just need to stay away from the fast food.

Look forward to following this thread.

If you don't yet have diabetes, drink those two and you will soon.

Even though I have my cup of Joe once in awhile, to much of it, even black "May" cause high blood pressure and anxiety due to the caffeine as we know is a stimulant. I usually go with "unleaded" (Decaf).

Every Sunday/your day off meal prep for the week. Chicken, brown rice, sweet potato, veggies, tilapia, lean turkey etc. Have meals and snacks for when OTR and avoid fast food restaurants. You'll be staying healthy so long as you have meals available.

Small fridge and microwave in your rig and you're set!

I know using a Microwave these days are a necessity for OTR. But if one was to do a real deep inside research on how the microwave works and what it does to any kind of food that it use to heat, I believe one would never use it again. First of all, it kills any nutrients that's in your food, second, the heat waves(nuke rays) , you end up consuming in your body, in the long run, it will weekend your immune system and create health issues.
