They can't go up 50 dollars every 6 months to a year if that was the case tires would eventually cost more than the truck.

So you guys are gonna tell an ol' timer like me spending $1100 on a set of steers and getting over 2 years on them HAULING HEAVY??

Sure you got 230,000 miles on your michies... How much of that was hauling Styrofoam dinner plates?

I'm not buying it...My Loads range from 43k up to 49k every day, every haul...Show me a steer tire gonna last me 2 years PLUS and I'll buy em' by the Truckload.

They currently have 197,000 miles on them without even a hint of funny wear. Only issue I've had was a nail a few weeks ago. I'll get a measurement tomorrow. I never rotate.

    Paper plates> styrofoam.
Close friend of mine running 45k loads from Midwest to WA for the past several years got 220k out of the last set of XZA3+. In a Columbia no less. Certainly not 'heavy haul' but that would be oranges, not apples.

43 to 49k is heavy haul? Did not know I have been heavy hauling 24 years... Always thought there would be a extra 1 at least in front.

I didn't say "Heavy Haul".I said Haul Heavy as a figure of speech.....
The reason I disputed that cl;aim on those Michelins was a few other threads on them folks were saying 200-250k miles but they were hauling stuff the megas generally do with most loads in vans ranging from 5,000 pounds up to 38,000 pounds.

Sure, In that case, You better get 2 years plus.

But if these Michelins can get 220k out of the life hauling heavy weights , Im all for it. I still don't see it tho.

150 thousand pound loads every day and I never get much over a year with a set of steers or drives. And when hauling this heavy michelins are junk. Constant Sidewall blowouts with michelins made me go to the Goodyear g177 on drives and trailer and bridgestone steers.
