I've got to put in a bid for a local rate to relocate freight from warehouse to warehouse (10mi apart) and the job should last several months.

The company is notorious for being slow to load/unload so in this circumstance, more money is made during the wait time than road time so I think it will balance out even at a lower end bid but I'm unsure.

Sorry about the lack of details (still inquiring about it) but what numbers come to mind for you? Any extra advice would be greatly appreciated!

the hrly rate will be 10hr days, roughly 5 loads a day.. that puts me at 100mi~ a day. I'm really thinking I could manage on much less, even at $60 an hr.. that's $600 a day.

I like money a lot but it's a closed bid and I'd like to bid to win.. within a range that I could manage at.

It would of helped if I included the details in my replies initially (sorry) it's been a long day. Just trying to get some numbers in my head.

$60 an hr for driver, truck, and trailer seems cheap. I'm not an OO but I wouldn't touch it for that.

Around here when we pile grain a round trip is about a mile and they pay 50 an hour. I can haul 35 to 40k bushel a day. It might be cheap I dont really know but we can't bid we just take what they offer or someone else will
