My company just came out with a new policy and we are not sure if it's a legal or not ....
    It goes like this :
If the driver gets pulled over for any violations that cause damage to their CSA score...
The company will fine the driver starting at $250 , $500 and up to $750 according to the CSA points accured to the company,
We have not signed any agreement on this and company acted kindve shady when they told us about this new policy
.... Can they do something like this legally?.... We cannot get them to address equipment issues like cracked, windshields or bad tires and now it looks like the drivers will be getting hit on both sides of this

    Dominick253 Thanks this.

So, they won't fix equipment, but hold you financially accountable for csa violations???? Smells more than shady. Call your state labour board.

Well, that's one way to get the cash to do the repairs on their equipment. Get the driver to pay for it via fines.
I don't know U.S. labour laws, but I know in Canada they can't take anything off your pay other than taxes and any benefit plans you may have signed up for.

Give 2 weeks notice and leave that company.

Keep several notarized copies of that 2 weeks notice for yourself, just in case you are not able to do the remaining 2 weeks, to show or give to a future employer, which would show that you did NOT just bail out improperly.

There are better places to work for, whether or not it is a driving job or any other type of job.

Good luck to you! God bless you and your family!

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

    Nothing to write home about

    That's what are all thinking

    Seems like double jeperty
We get nailed for a cracked windshield cost and the company nails the drivers on top of that

The Bronx salute, yeah they deserve that too..... I can't say I don't like everybody there because as a matter of fact I like this company .... But a female owns it and she is vicious and her father owns the rest of the company nobody likes him much neither but the dispatchers and the OP management are good down to earth people
