Wallingford, CT Crash

84, 91, 95 thru CT - some of my least favorite routes to drive, ever. And unfortunately one of them is usually part of the route for home-time. Otherwise it's 'hey dispatch, send me to the Midwest or South'... Any semi driving in New England is a bear... Not only is the infrastructure unaccommodating, but the people don't like your (our) profession, generally.

 

Dollars to donuts he was texting and driving. How else do you not maintain your lane and hit a guardrail?

Yeah, that's why I said dollars to donuts. Of course the only way to prove it is to petition to release the cell phone records to find out. Not sure if they do that in this type of situation. Even if they did and they found out, I'm sure that's something the company will keep a secret unless it goes to litigation.
