Another KTA 19 post as i try to iron out all the faults on this old project of mine!
The Air Compressor is building up pressure quickly but it doesnt stop. The pressure keeps climbing until its way off the end of the gauges. Can anyone explain how the pressure is governed on these?

CK. the air press. reg. on top or beside the air comp. its round an less than 40$ and must have a clear air line leading over to air tank, a pop off valve was on one air tank at one time to keep from blowing air lines when press. gets to hi?
-
There is a pressure line going into the governor and there is another air line coming out of the governor that is not attached to anything!! When the pressure gets too high the line out from the governor starts blowing off air. Im thinking this line should be connected to something?
-
Here is the top of compressor. Should the line from the governor valve go to that fitting in the centre of the head? Is that the unloader valve?
-
I would say yes that is the unloader the line needs to be connected.

It looks like the empty line from center of comp. should be reconn. to port on bottom of gov. ck. for the pop off that should be letting off air from side of air tank when air press gets past 160psi.

I have have air pressure that wont cut out. but in my case the governor never sends the pressure to the unloader. Also the pressure in primary and secondary gauge stays like 60psi apart, one gage reaches 180psi before the other one reaches like 120psi. Which pressure goes to the governor to tell it to cut out - primary or secondary? any other suggestions on my problem?
