Spilled load

    I received a spilled load ticket yesterday I hauled a very watery load and stopped at a yellow light a officer was right there and instead of running it is stopped and someven Cement spilled my company and I cleaned it right up but I have this ticket and I'm scared it's a misdemeanor I have a perfect driving record I have had a class a for 2 years now and never a ticket any advice or how to proceed would be greatly appreciated stay safe my brothers

    was this a really high slump load that was dripping out of the back with everything rolling right? If so did your ticket from the company to take this load have a thin slump on the ticket? If so it should fall on the company,

    Yes it had a 7 slump on paperwork it's a front loader but I don't have my 90 working days in yet I'm at 70 so I'm not in the union yet so I don't want to rock the boat to much just looking for any advice

    is the ticket in your name? Generally work related tickets don't go on your driving record.

    You won't be able to work for a mega......so it's a blessing :)

    I'd fight the ticket anyways ... The cop might not show or maybe you can weasel out ....

    Yeah unless you can prove you were overloaded it is gonna be on you. I would first call up the DOT guy and see what he can do. You would be surprised and if he will not help fight it. Worst case scenario is you end up with the same problem and fine you have now.

    A local cop? That ticket can go away...
    That is BS the ticket went to you and not the company.
    Also being it was cleaned up by the company the Judge will probably throw it out.
    All you need is a lawyer to talk to the DA.
