Well it is a none issue now. After a lot of thinking yesterday i decided team driving was not for me. I sent my friend a bunch of trucking horror videos and i think i burst his hopes that team driving was the pot of gold under the rainbow. My plan has always been to get my first year in. Make enough for a down payment on a home and then relocate to a new company that is regional. I am kind of a hermit. I don't mind people but i prefer to be alone. I don't have a life to speak of and no wife or kids. I can just stay on the road and as long as i have my audio books and a good radio i am a happy person. So basically no need to go home lol.
But i want to say thank you to all of you for your advise. It has been very helpful. -
They do run team but from what i heard from Ethos and others around the web is that Schneider bulk teaming is horrid. But i have heard really good things about going solo with that side of Schneider. That is what i am looking into now.

I just finished my first week of teaming with a guy I went through CDL school with. As a solo driver I was getting short runs and sitting a half to a full day between assignments. Our first week as a team we did 5660 miles. It would have been more but we were down a half day with a trailer wiring issue. All of our loads have been drop and hook to/from either an OC or a tank wash. Mostly Houston to the north and back. We have had at least one and sometimes two assignments before the one we are on is finished. You will get priority dispatch as a team but as in solo driving you have to absolutely get the load there on time. There are 3 teams out of my orientation class from December. Their results are pretty much the same as ours. As a team you do need to talk to your teammate and work out some details. It is a tiny place for two people to live. When my teammate is sleeping I try to be as quiet as I can. Shift smoothly, don't play the radio loud, don't slam truck doors. It remains to be seen how it will work out in the long run but so far I like it.
Mictrucking and pasmurf Thank this. -
Hi AThiker, I know this is an older post but are you still with Schneider and are you still running team. If so how has it been? I'm thinking of driving for Schneider as a team. Appreciate any info you can give. Thanks!
