I don't want to work for a big company at the moment. Robertson is always hiring but mostly for their cement trucks.

Not everyone starts with their dream job, or even a good job. My first job (still working it) is a great first job, but the pay is crap. I have a sleeper to myself, home 2-3 days a week, same run, every week, with only a few extra stops here and there.

The downside is that I work part time on my home time to make enough to be comfortable.

GiantBeard, I agree with you. I guess you have to like being OTR, I wouldn't do it. There are plenty of local jobs here in LA. I'm planning on getting this trucking job and keep this part time job I have right now. Do you live in Indio?

I pretty much live where ever the truck is. Thermal is where one of our farms are, and where the truck is needed most, but, no one knows where Thermal is.

Most of the time, for commercial rental, you provide the insurance. You don't have it, they don't rent to you. The security deposit is high.

Bobtailing without a trailer, shifting is different, just like driving with mt trailer is different from loaded.

Maybe he worked for a beverage distributor or something of that sort. Read the criteria for a Class A, and you'll see it's an EXTREMELY broad category.

    Sam:

I don't use ticket services. I use my own judgement. If I do something that deserves a ticket, there might be a good chance I earned it.

I find that a good attitude and a little honesty go a long way to getting a second chance with some officers though.

    AModelCat and Sam1000 Thank this.
