Are you looking for a certificate/degree?
Or just to increase general knowledge?
If just looking for general knowledge several places have lectures from highly qualified professors that might be a good option.
Cheap but nothing on paper once over.

WGU has issues as it is competence based rather than GPA. A lot of major employers in my area(such as Lockheed and Bell) don't recognize non GPA credit programs, and other universities don't accept the credits for transfer.
-
If I was a employer I wouldn't recognize any online degrees go to actual classes.
-
Online classes are harder than sitting in the classroom.
ALOT more reading.
ALOT more writing papers.
I loved math related online courses though. Hell anatomy & physiology some of em send you a dead pig sheep brain & cow eye to your house!!!!
Then you come in & have to identify if a pig was stillborn or its mom sat on it. Pass or fail lol.
College was dumb. XD
I recommend going to learning centers and telecommuting. Your county probably has one. If it is a need based occupation your state will give you like 5 grand grant money if you promise to reside there for 2 years. Obama gave the states a #### ton of money in the stimulus there's probably still some left. -
Ivy tech is Indiana's statewide community college that have a bunch of online courses for relatively cheap.
Parkland college (discount college next to university of illinois) or Concordia are fairly cheap.
Main thing is it accredited.
Like if you want to go for nursing you'd look for the national league of nursing accreditation.
Find and look for your occupations. -
You know, it's funny. This is one of the most helpful threads I've seen here in a while, and it isn't even about trucking. That's why I love this site
trucking for family Thanks this. -
then you would be a fool not to accept the education from an accredited school. what is a college anyways..go into a room, listen to the rhetoric, maybe go to a lecture, take some tests.
online, you have to do some actual reading, maybe even watch some online lectures. same difference in the learning process -
Times are changing

Plus if one is OTR it's a very good option.
