Loves says it's a danger and is unrepairable . The company says it's dot compliant because it's not showing steel. The trailer tires is a super single and has a chunk missing out of the shoulder and sidewall. Inside the chunk you can see tread separation.

Its your call. Personally I think running it would be a bad idea.
JReding, Just_Drivin and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -
I wouldn't run it but you can. Give the scale house man something to do. Better you than me!
magoo68, Dominick253 and Just_Drivin Thank this. -
I wont tell you whether to run it or park it but I will say that D.O.T. could shut you down and force them to change it for it being in that condition.JReding, Dominick253 and Just_Drivin Thank this.

The tire wasn't like that 200miles ago so I have a feeling it's only going to get worse.
Dominick253 Thanks this. -
A chunk missing doesnt shut you down. I woild have to look up about the sidewall again. Buy i know for sure a chunk missing does not disqualify you. I was DOT certified at my old job.
Dominick253 and Just_Drivin Thank this. -
The big worry is you can put a flat head screw driver between the tire and the tread itself inside the chunk where it's separating
Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Is there any wire showing? Can you take a picture?

No doubt it will get worse and will probably eventually blow since its a single so be careful with it.
