I ran an infinity gn400 for 2 years when I started out and while I cringe when I think about going back to a non air brake trailer, I do consider it to be the best starter trailer out there. Hauls 4 easily or 3 high top extended vans or pickups.

New infinitys cost too much. I'm trying to keep my payments low. I don't haul high top vans often, but if anything I put one in the very back

You mentioned a 5 car, how were you going to afford one of those? If you are worried about payments on any of those cheap trailers then something is definitely wrong. Maybe too much was spent on a dually?

No, but why would I spend more on an infinity when I can get a wedge for half the price and do the same work?

A wedge cannot fit what an infinity or the Kaufman can. Also with the gn400 I averaged 10mpg+

But if I'm going to invest in a gn400, why not get the gn550. They cost the same thing, but I can haul one more car

According to there site GN550 weighs 13000
    and the GVWR is 25000,
that only leaves 12k pay load.
Doesn't seem like a good deal to me.
    What am I missing.

Don't forget about the weight you are picking up on your tractor (pin).

    Hey Kansas,
Been following your post for a while.
    Love those rigs you have.
What is typical % for tongue weight.
    I've heard anywhere from 10 to 25 %.

    KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this.
