I'll take 1732 or higher please. Why are they doing both? Seeing if there really is a significant advantage on mpg maybe?

If they leave the tuning parameters for full manual control in manual mode, won't be that bad.
-
Anyone know if HEB in Fort Worth has over night parking?
-
Yes and so far loaded at 78K I was able to get 7.8 mpg with a new engine...we'll see how that changes in the hillsLwood53 and WalterSobchak Thank this.
-
You're right, in manual I push a button instead of floating a stick but it feels much the same...mxpx148 Thanks this.

Not knocking you but that fuel mileage doesn't sound that great, heading to GA right, from Fargo?
-
If fuel mileage is the big thing there, I still just don't get why they didn't go with 13 speeds, both manual and auto
-
For a new engine it's not bad and yep that's Midwest running. In Indiana at home right now, surprised the wife for her birthday...
-
Because we hire new CDL's and many are intimidated by the extra step in shifting a 13.
Paccar on all of its most efficient packages spec 10 speed auto's vs the 12 speed euro boxes offered by Volvo and Freightliner. Paccar does have a ZF option in Europe, but rumor has it that they may offer Allison full auto boxes next (the TC-10).
Some of our 2017 Freightliner daycabs have the DT-12 AMT's in them and unless we stop driving Pete's we'll be stuck with 10's. They also keep the engines on the 455 hp setting except for a few daycabs that pull double full trailers.mxpx148 Thanks this. -
Look who I ran into at Spiceland this morning!!
