West motor freight ???

Do you own the truck or are you leasing it through there program

 

My experience has only been with one of their agent/small fleet owners, Mike A. Out of Amsterdam, NY. He's a great guy, standup, and pretty honest.
I've been driving for him in one of his trucks for about 16 months. Half that with Landstar, before he brought his trucks over to West, due to the higher pecentage pay. I may be purchasing a truck in a few weeks to lease on with West. It's my understanding that drivers have access to multiple load boards, including Landstar, DAT, CH Robinson, etc. There's no set rate. Drivers negotiate rates. I've heard stories of West and/or agents going the extra mile to help out their drivers when needed, not leaving them in a bind without assistance. I'm sure there's some things not to like, as with all companies, but so far so good, and I don't expect any big dissapointments, as long as I am doing my part to be successful.
