Hello haulers, its the new guy Pete and my business partner Jas (Jazz)
Have a question about a route I drove through recently in an auto and I seen enclosed haulers traveling along this route.
Of course I also noticed that I got through the entire state of Arizona without hitting a single scale going from NM on the 40 W and than I cut south on the 77 to the 377 to the 260 which turns into the 87 through Scottsdale.
Q. Anyone have any experience hauling a load on highways:
77, 377, 260, 87 (both directions)
My concern is when we hit the Tonto forrest with the hills. With the nature of the low profile auto hauling trailer, will we get stuck on the hills?
I only ask because someone I know hauling a load with a trailer similar to ours got stuck up in Colorado just this past week.
Any comments from people who've hauled through this route are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I would not recommend running that route with any semi much less an Auto Hauler.

Those are non secular routes. I have been from Holbrook to show low and into globe and eventually Phoenix on the 60. It's fine. I regularly take the 260 from the 17 west to cottonwood but after cottonwood it gets really non truck friendly. Years ago I went to payson from the 17 but I would not go north out of Scottsdale to Payson on the 87. Those mountains are to big.

The best thing about running thru the canyon into or out of Globe is that you have ample opportunities to check you tires and your license plate while never having to get out of the truck, about like hwy 7 in Ark, lol
