Also some other options for you but would require a tandem truck (easier to find anyway) would be Sun Valley's low pro 8 car (maybe Stan can post some pics he had one) and this thing here whatever it is. I saw it on an ad looking for a driver:

Yes, you can pull a tandem axle Sun Country, or any other high mount with a single axle without problems. I have been using single axle tractors on our Miller 7 car trailers for 10 years, never had an overweight ticket, but we don't push it like some guys I have seen. We run NY mostly, they can be fussy about overhang so we do not run with the front deck shot out, also we don't run over height since we run the Thruway daily and they check height at the toll booth, which keeps the vehicles we fit down and the weight also. In my earlier post I put up weights from a good size load with my Miller 7 and Volvo single axle, well within legal anywhere you would go.
Terry is spot on, if you are moving bigger units the Sun Country is the way to go, mixed cars and suv;s with the occasional truck then a 7 car high mount may be more productive, since we get paid by the car not the trip or mile, the more you fit onto the truck the better.Dominick253 and KANSAS TRANSIT Thank this. -
Interesting Terry, the way the decks are on that unit is VERY close to what I had sent SC about a year ago, wonder if it's homemade (shop built)???
As far as our Sun Valley 8 car here ya go,Chewy911, Dominick253 and Terry270 Thank this. -
Yeah I'm not sure Stan, I robbed those pictures off of the guys CD ad. He has a couple of them it seems and his trucks are all gliders. For a minute there I was considering calling him to see where I could get one but my needs have changed and I'm getting into a stinger now to better serve my best customer.
Really looks like a good option though as it handles the big units very well.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
AND it has a much lower deck down height than the SV 8.Terry270 Thanks this. -
Hey corderol, not sure if you ever got another truck but I will throw this at you, I am looking at another truck for a different application than what we are doing now, I wanted to trade the truck and trailer that I drive (occasionally) toward this purchase, but the guy has no use for an Auto Hauler, so I am going to put my rig, truck and trailer (the one pictured) up for sale, and because I want to get this deal done I will offer it cheap,
65,000 for truck and trailer as you see it, all polished up.
If you have an interest give me a jingle, thx stanAttached Files:
