I've been getting my oil changed there for 5 years. Yes they always try to upsell, and I say no thanks and that's that.
Not everyone who works for them is a rocket scientist but overall they're decent people and do a good job.

RodgerBeep,
It's called.... UP SELLING.
A Standard Business Practice.
You as THE CUSTOMER....
JUST SAY, NO THANK YOU.
Unless of course you drive OFF ROAD/OIL PATCH 90% Of the time in which case, Yeah Maybe you Might need Both Filters....
Or, Just tell the HELPFUL SERVICE WRITER , when they right you up...
STAY OUT OF THE CABIN FILTER AND THE INTAKE FILTER, Thank You.
And they WON'T TOUCH THOSE ITEMS.
SIMPLE...Instinktz Thanks this. -
When it's time for an oil change .... isn't it time for a B service ???? I always thought anyone who went to Speedco was abusing their truck by not getting a full B service??
Instinktz Thanks this. -
The services are classified differently between the companies. Some guys just get an express, oil & filters, full PM. Some guys just get mid-service (lube and filters) because they run synthetic. Some drivers can do the other jobs on their own also.WisconsinF150 Thanks this.

I express oul change every 15k miles, full B at 30k....never an issue at Speedco...yes I know I am a little agressive on the maintenance but it makes me feel at ease...
Be Safe Out There
Captain DaveWisconsinF150 and Instinktz Thank this.
