I have a question. I have a Class C CDL with Airbrake Restriction. Would I be able to drive a 26 foot rental truck with air brakes as long as its under 26,001 since you dont need a CDL to drive that truck? Or is this incorrect since I have a CDL. I was under the impression you could drive a 26 foot truck with Air Brakes since its not Commercial (under 26,000). A regular person is able to drive a truck under 26,000 with Air Brakes.

Makes no difference. You're just restricted from driving Commercial Vehicles (Those OVER 26,000) that have an air brake.
