I'll apologize for the jakes.... I forget to turn them off at times.

In regards to closing curtains, that's not the point. The point is why do you need to see in front of you when you are backing up?
If it's a real tight spot then it's justified, but seriously when you get setup you should be well aware of your surroundings.
The lights that just don't shut off, for whatever reason, at least make sure they are aimed properly.

    Come on guys, really?
There are things in front that may need to be seen! Like big craters that will swallow your truck and leave you cemented in the middle if you're in a muddy lot!
    Really guys?? Really??

I guess I see it as the opposite... Those entering a TS are doing so while maneuvering in other traffic and lanes whereas the outbound is just sitting there waiting for an opening to plug... So I would give the right a way to the incoming.

But I'm just a stupid newbie steering wheel holding driver... ;-)

Mtn Gal and spax Thank this.

    curtains???

And seriously, If the lights on a truck across the parking lot is "blinding the crap outta" you... You may want to consider staying off two lane highways during the night hours... Serious safety issues if you were to risk it. Maybe best for you to stick with daytime driving... But use sunglasses... :)

The curtains are the point. If you would shut down your truck and close the curtains like everyone else it wouldn't bother you. It's not like people are coming in and turning on their lights just to park, there is just no point in turning them off until I'm shutting off the truck.

It's like the people who get worked up over people coming into the truck stop with a safety vest still on. No, they don't need it, but who cares? Get over yourself, and learn to handle your own business properly so that it won't bother you if I do things a little bit different than you do.

Alright I should clarify that if you are parked, it would be courteous that the headlights be off/dimmed/whatever you feel like doing. So if someone is trying to back in next to you, they won't be blinded.
That is my big issue with it. Not the curtains or anything like that. Obviously each of us are different and in the end it's the same argument as sitting on the floor with the tall shifter versus sitting sky high.

123.Red Beard and Lepton1 Thank this.

As I backed into my spot tonight, with the backup alarm blaring and the 4-ways on, I left my headlights on just to spite some crabby old drivers. But then I set the brakes and shut it down, because I'm not THAT much of a dbag...

Mtn Gal, tucker, mindes and 1 other person Thank this.
