Will be graduating cdl school in a cpl weeks. Have a few offers so far. Live in Tulsa, Ok and either van or reefer is good and will be doing otr.

    Celedon
    Tyson
    Transam

Tyson starts out a little higher paywise, but don't like the idea of having to park at terminals and take most stuff out of the truck as it might be used by someone else during hometime.

Like Transam's truck setup, first year would at least be comfortable, but hear they tend to give new company drivers all the short run miles and drops from the lease drivers. And I will not lease.

Don't know much about Celedon, except they use prostars, and heard they break down more than average. Pay isnt whoopy for new drivers, but get a .01 cpm increase every 100k miles, say per year average. Plus they got freight running in my area. So would appreciate the scoop on them from any drivers currently with them or used to be.

    Any info would be appreciated!

If Tyson is slip-seating, then I'd go with TransAm over the others you listed.

Kind of limited in my options because of a felony 33 years ago when I was young and dumb. Yah, I know, 33 years, but still hanging over my head. So all you young uns reading this take heed and keep your nose clean and dont be stupid like I was.

Not actually slip seating, you always get the same truck, they just might use it for short hops while you are at home, then when your home time is over you go back to the same truck. And then again they might never use it, just depends if they have a short run to do that can be done during your home time.

But they pay .42 cpm compared to transams .32 and Celedons .31 to start.

Try Tyson then. You can always change companies later if you want. The most important issue right now is to gain experience. TransAm does have the best equipment on the road it seems with all the driver ammenities. In 6 or 12 months many additional doors will open for you. Don't overthink your first job; just pick one and use it for a step toward your next move.

A 33 year old felony should not severely limit you. Provided the felony is not one of the crimes that disqualify you for life you can get hazmat and TWIC. You also might be able to even get into Canada. Google deemed rehabilitation and you will see what I mean. Go ahead and put those applications in you have nothing at all to lose.

It is one of those that disqualify me. The kicker is my friend shot someone, that person even testified I tried to stop my friend from shooting him, but because I was there and didnt go the the police afterwards or testify against my friend was found fuilty of aiding and abetting. So no Hazmat, twic card, or border crossing into Canada hurts my prospects.

Yah so far its my top pick because of the pay and they at least have inverters. Plus was told they only accept students right out of cdl school, otherwise you have to have a minimum of six months. Said if i went to training somewhere else would have to wait until 6 months minimum. Of course that could be just the recruiter trying to disuade you from going somewhere else first :), so cant vouch for that.

I'm not an attorney but was you charged with murder or aiding and abetting a murder? You might want to ask DHS about this. Because the list of offences that are lifetime just says murder. Get this checked out. As far as deemed rehabilitation goes in Canada if the max sentence is 10 years or under your still good. Trust me on this I have seen a lot of stuff like this and know drivers today that have TWIC and hazmat and you would be surprised at their crimes.
