A truck driver recently caught this accident on his dash cam. The incident took place on a California highway, on April 28, 2016, at about 9:45 a.m.
It was uploaded by YouTuber David Gomez yesterday.
In the video, one semi-truck is seen traveling down a highway, and is soon joined by another semi-truck. The second truck then passes the first and makes a sharp right turn from the wrong (left) lane as the first truck narrowly avoids a collision. This results in the truck flipping over and landing on its side.
The other truck driver immediately pulled over and ran to help the overturned driver.
It’s unclear from the video if the driver was injured

omg. Glad to see the other driver stop and help. That was a 20mph exit. Too fast. Tough situation.

No one cut anyone off. The truck that flip should of had the right away to merge right into the interchange since he was in front. The truck in front of the camera should of slowed way down to let him over. In result, the truck that flipped gased on it so he wouldn't miss his turn off. Two are at fault here. One for not letting him get over, two, going to fast cause the other wouldn't let him over .

5 self important four wheelers pass right on by while one decides to stop. Sad. No compassion. But by god they had better not be out of Toilet Paper and Milk when they get to the store.
sawmill Thanks this. -
I watched this three times. It does NOT look like the truck passing put on his turn signal until he was already ahead, (slightly,) of the truck on the right. How was that driver supposed to know that driver needed to get over to make that exit?

It's common sense, your in a interchangeable lane you know the other truck is going to merge to the right lane. This is were the years of experience of trucking comes in , understanding what the other drivers intentions and reactions of the other driver is going to do .turn signal don't mean squad when your a experience driver..vanishing point Thanks this.

I live near that interchange. Lots of accidents there. People, not just truckers, do not know how to play the merge game.

My Riiiight was directed to @Diesel Dave. H2h just happened to post in between.
Diesel Dave Thanks this. -
In most cases you're right but this interchange is screwed. The left lane is also an exit lane. Unless the vehicles in the left lane give a signal it's assumed they are going to exit the highway. The construction going on doesn't make it any easier as now people are using that lane to try to bypass some of the traffic.
