They will claim they can't risk hiring you because of the side effects. You're better off keeping it to yourself. There isn't anyway they could know unless you tell them. Unless it's one of the narcotic type anxiety pills, that will show up on a drug test.
canviskiller and Falcon86a Thank this. -
Like the other guy said, unless it's a benzo, opioid, or amphetamine, keep it to your self. Your employer doesn't have a right to know every thing about your private life.Falcon86a Thanks this.

I always take antidepressants before orientation. It helps with digestion of the corporate happy talk.
Derailed, SHOJim, ramblingman and 7 others Thank this. -
On the form where it says "Medications," check "No."
Problem solved.canviskiller and Falcon86a Thank this. -

Wouldn't bother me in the least Falcon...but then again, as a carrier that employees people, hell its Monday...depression is what it is. Wouldn't stop me from hiring. I'd appreciate the honesty and going forward would make sure not to bug a person when they are having a down day. Trucking is a people business, IMO.
Rubberduckin, gokiddogo and Falcon86a Thank this. -
By the way, if you are on antidepressants if I were you I would research "microbiome depression". Your diet may be playing a HUGE role in your depression. To start with eliminate added sugar from your diet. All sugar. Make your microbiome healthy and good things happen.
Florida Playboy, gokiddogo, Diesel Dave and 3 others Thank this. -
im in the wrong business, i need to create a disease and sell a pill for it.

I wonder, do companies screen for antidepressants in their test? Would hate to check no then show up.Last edited: May 3, 2016
