Have done this on a grain trailer for couple harvests yet... old man either forgets or doesnt get grain trailer tag by combines rolling so have to run a different tag on it for awhile lol. Hell the one time it was even a car trailer on it.... but that was for local stuff. Illinois to Washington is a drive.. i would go straight there doing this lol.

Good luck, keep us posted how you do.BigSky and redoctober83 Thank this.

If you got it at a dealer, they can probably get you one.
-
Yeah, all the dealer can give me is the driveaway temp tag. It looks like I'll be overnighting the paperwork to a licensing office in Washington so they can overnight it back to me. I just thought there would have been a much easier way, lol. I guess nothing is easy when it comes to commercial vehicles.

Just drive at night and avoid Wyoming. And Utah.

As long as you've got your insurance spot on I would probably just roll the dice. I can count on one hand how many times ive been pulled in for inspection and its always been during business hours.

Hey, can't you register the trailer in Maine, like every big company, online? I'm just sayin

Check this out! Boom

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't want to register the trailer in Maine.

Unless you have your own authority or leased on you can't haul anything. No broker is going to give you a load without either of those two in place.
