Thank you,get tired of debating this. There is no law that says trucks can't have guns as long as you follow state laws!

I have my own range and shoot a lot. While on the road and through my shoulder injury I slacked off but back at it again.

I can reload 9MM for a12 cents a round verses buying the cheap crap for 30 cents a round plus I have the enjoyment of reloading my own . That means I can shoot my 9 for just about what a .22 costs to shoot with the price of it today !!!

SIGH. This is a migraine waiting for me. I will read this thread some more before I stick my foot in mouth and confirm my lack of intelligence for all the world to see. With that said.. here is couple things from my perspective.
Maryland is the Old Line State. Earned and paid for in blood when 400 Marylanders purchased the escape of Washington's Army with their lives. It is also the first time I crossed swords with my school teacher telling her that the 2nd Amendment expressly provides for a God Given right to bear arms which shall not be infringed. Maryland's school class material dared to teach me and my class mates that Citizens may store weapons in the State Armory until such time of war as may be directed by the Governor. WTF? Bull.
I carry a Colt Railgun produced in it's 99th year which so happens to be the exact same model weapon used by the United States Marine Corps Special Operations Command as a designated side arm to replace the Beretta (Also made in Maryland...) and further supports the Glock, Sig and certain other Arms as weapons of war.
Maryland says my Colt is illegal (Too Military they say...) and the Full Jacketed Hollow points and flat round nose supers (I carry a mag of 255 grain against Bear which is a possibility here in Arkansas. But way overkill versus a human or smaller game.
Arkansas is a free state. Within some very obselete Jim Crow Laws dating to our Occupation by Federal Troops in the 1870's time period of 10 years in which Arkansas failed to participate in Primary, Presidental elections. A careful examination of History as pertains to Arkansas show a State that is soveriegn and something to be celebrated out here on the frontier.
And some people have laughed at me for expressing the possibility that there will not be a quorum
I have never (Never say never) carried a weapon in trucking. Although I will be more than happy to share any number of encounters with the bad guys via knife, policeman's come along, night stick and tire thumper plus a extremely fast wit and words.
My wife got chased back to our rig with me in the sleeper one afternoon in the TA at Denmark in broad day light. Door comes open, strange hand tries to get a fist full of booty and I come round to address that problem with the predator with a small number of whacks here and there. Going from sleepy land straight to to the possibility of physical combat within around 9 seconds or so was better than any coffee made by man.
I will recognize that the Law understands that we are stressed at times. But to actually carry iron on the road living in fear? That's not going to happen.
What will happen is this.
Order your ammunition via internet like Ammo to go and have it delivered via fed ex. 500 rounds or 1000 rounds passing through the Chicago projects on the railroad or truck is a sight to behold. Be at the house and get it off the porch and into a relatively secure storage. At a minimum, a green box made to store military. If you have the right box, who cares if the rental catches fire. Let it burn. You can always get more.
