Cross-border trucking demonstration project extended for 2 years

Well this totally contradicts the other atrial and the claim they will pull all funding from the program and let it die.. LAW????? the only reason they bring that up is when it fits thier purpose, if it don't then they change the law to where it will fit.. They could do the exact same here and cancel the program if they wanted..

 

I think we should have open borders, with both Canada and Mexico, but American companies should not be able to hire mexican or candian workers and vice versa, and the same HOS and safety regs should be in place for all 3 countries, and companies cant decide to move to mexico and canada for cheaper rates and vice versa to that either. There would be pros and cons to open borders, but we are headed there anyway. so the countries should just start putting in regulations.

Ok, make English mandatory, NO French, NO Spanish, No Urdu, NO Russian.

I agree with the english and I don't, you still have 3 countries with diffrent origns, most of canada speaks english even the french canada knows english, mexico would be the problem, i guess it have to be a requirment of only CDL holders need to speak english or something like that

To late, American companies have been buying Mexican companies for many years in anticipation of NAFTA and the Mexican trucking program.. Schneider, Swift, Crete, CFI (Conway), and many many more have been buying them up.. They don't change the name they leave it the same, If the Mexican truck program was aloud to expand on a full scale bases then American based companies would downsize (claiming they cant compete against foreign companies even thought they own those forighn companies) and increase the Mexican companies...... This would give large corp more money by hiring cheaper labor from Mexico...(so CEO's can get thier 20 million dollar bonuses a year) You can't regulate companies buying forighn companies but you can regulate the amount of forighn workers aloud to work in a country...

 

it's not the american way, but what is anymore, you can regulate companies from buying foreign companies, with taxes and other things, if you tell a company ok if u buy it your giving us 98% of the profit cuz what they company wont do, or the government step up and say we wont let you buy it, the govermnet has this power whether we wont to belivew it or not, becuase the our government does not fear the people, we fear the government
