Ya know some good thinking is a good distraction...
-
If you are legal and not totally leaving your lane etc making it obvious then you probably don't have much to worry about.
-
Until you get stopped because of the fact that you are following all the laws and that makes you "suspicious"!
"… you came to a complete stop at the stop sign, you traveling just below the speed limit, you have you seatbelt on … you obviously have something to hide, do you mind if I take a look inside your car?" -
I volunteer for that study....
-
are you referring to profiling or something?
-
Usually when I hear people talk about profiling it has racial connotations, that was not the case. The officer's opinion seemed to be that I was driving too well and that was suspicious. I let him know in no uncertain terms I was not happy about being wrongfully detained.TROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this.

This sounds suspiciously like horse pucky to me, but if in fact, it really did happen, I hope you notified his agency, in writing, and whatever local news media there happens to be in that area.MACK E-6 Thanks this.

I was not driving a truck, I was driving our family car. I did have a meeting with our police chief after he reviewed the audio and video from my traffic stop. The meeting was very positive, "constructive criticism".
I wanted to discuss my experience after living in the community for more than 20 years. Because I was very satisfied with the response I received I was more than willing for this to be a "learning experience" rather than a blemish on the young officer's record.Big Don Thanks this.
