I'm inclined to agree.
How can "driving too well" be considered PC for anything?
I smell a rat in that particular Police department.

I hope you didn't consent to that search.
Somebody was on a fishing expedition.BigSky Thanks this. -
Depends,..
If you get flashed when your wife is in the truck with you and your wife feels the need to show that hers are larger and most importantly,.. within arms reach,.. well,.. I guess that could be a distraction. Good thing a rest area came up,.. I got so hot n bothered I needed to pull in and lay some pipe.
Hurstdngrous_dime Thanks this. -
It just takes a little common sense on this on.

This almost sounds like a "double edged sword". If you are doing the wrong thing, you will get pulled over. If you are doing the right thing, you will get pulled over.
What does it take to NOT get pulled over?
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

Good.
If the have to ask, they don't have PC.BigSky Thanks this. -
Ah-so, "the young officer." Probably the one who just graduated the academy, and got through his field officer training period. The one who's badge still weighs 25 pounds. The one who has NOT had his arse kicked from here to kingdom come.
Sad to say, but sometimes that is exactly what it takes with some of these kids, before they settle down and become pretty good coppers. And of course, there are some who NEVER settle down. Those usually don't last long in the better departments, so can be found on small town PDs or rural SOs.
Not to say that ALL small town PDs or rural SOs are like that, but some of them are so desperate for new hires, they are almost like the Swift of the law enforcement field... -
I've been driving for almost 14 years now, professionally for just over one, and I've never been stopped for following all the rules of the road (I have a clean abstract and take pride in coming to a full stop at a stop sign, four- or twenty-two-wheeler).
I wish there would be more traffic law enforcement where I live. A large majority of people in Manitoba don't even slow down for stop signs anymore. Heck, I saw someone a couple months ago, slow down, look both ways and just drive through a red light I was sitting at.
