I'm working on a school project and I need your help. Willing?

I miss mine. Flips were great for texting, because I could text by touch without looking.

On the other hand I now have Bluetooth compatibility and voice text which admittedly works 87% of the time even with all the noise of the truck. So that's somewhat impressive.

 

some common crude lingo is 'lot lizard' or 'commercial beaver' I don't know if you can use that for a high school paper.. or 'good buddy' which was a friendly greeting but now means a gay person..,,Hammer Lane vs. Granny Lane (fast lane or slow lane) 'copy' means you heard and understand or agree ..the highway patrol is still known as smoky referring to the Hat he wears and Smokey the Bear ,, like the one guy said pretty much the same since the '70s.. truck drivers these days come from all backgrounds all Races and nationalities ,different cultures ,very diverse out here ..guys from out west look more like Cowboys but I think they do that in all occupations .. I'm kind of prejudice against the driver who wears flip-flops, I still think covered toe shoes are the best for working & driving ..the Norms never change most drivers don't get much exercise don't have the best diet don't get to shower everyday (so you have to sponge bathe a lot) life on the road can be long, hard and tough or it can be enjoyable with a change of scenery every day, everything from breathtaking scenery to bumper to bumper traffic.. I hope your project turns out really well

 

Oh yeah with the flip phone you can work everything with one hand that was nice but the smartphone is really awesome with all of the features comma, oh and that Bluetooth texting it will be good when they get all the bugs worked out you just can't use it if you're in a hurry otherwise a lot of curse words get thrown in there LOL

A "lot lizard" refers to a lady that is working the parking lot at truck stops... (Hooker, Prostitute) Have to say I have not run into to many so far... Probably less of an issue as it was in the past.

 

Yeah two things you see in the perception of trucking that's almost never true anymore: prostitutes and truckstops with bars in/near them.

Truckstops are really more like a bad 7/11.
