I drove for them for ten years. It was a good company back when the old man ran it. His kids started to run it and started to cater to people that didn't even want to be truck drivers. They started their Pony Express/relay BS so that "drivers" could be home every night and weekends. The OTR drivers ended up being shag drivers for them. You couldn't make any money because you couldn't get any miles.

 

The pay for OTR was notoriously BAD when I was there

 

Back when I was there, JB Hunt wasn't even offer their famous 40 cents a mile yet.

 

Really? You would do much better to go to a technical school and train for a medical service job. A good career with benefits snd less hours to work.

 

.40 with low miles I'm guessing

 

I don't know. Other truck drivers assumed the higher pay was because of lower miles. They were the first mega to break the $0.40 barrier. They still had their cab overs back the. They just were starting to get their Centurys.

 

But they so slow man good God. I know they offer good intermodal opportunities out of Memphis

 

I have to say WOW 1,800 a month is good money? I guess everyone has a different perspective of what good money is. Especially team driving good money to me would be 2,400 a week and not sleeping in a truck.

 

If that is a increase in pay.......just wow
