School & Stevens Trandport Question

    Hello all I will be attending Tennessee Truck Driving School in June and from there starting with Stevens Transport. Can anyone give me a few pointers on the school and the company? All help is appreciated I'm fairly new with just my CDL permit; I have limited training mostly in Nyc on local roads and highways. Thanks in advance.

    Hi there
    Once you finish the local school they will send you to Dallas (main school and yard) then you will find out how much additional training you will be required to go through with an OTR trainer.
    The full program is about 6 weeks or so or 240 driving hours. You get paid during the training so at least your not completely broke. Don't bring along to much stuff as you will get the top bunk and that's it for sleeping and storage while training.
    Once the training is done you will be on probation for 45 to 60 days.. Called Grad Fleet...then you get a new truck all your own ...
