Ain't much warmer here in Gary. It's 53 degrees inside my truck right now. I think I might turn the bunk heater on if it gets to 45.

I have officially ran my last run in 651103. May Bertha be as good to her next driver as she was to me. Here's also hoping my next truck is as good to me as Bertha has been, especially since I'll be paying the bills on this one!

After you pass your CDL test, you have to go to DMV to get your real CDL. Post Office to get your passport, TWIC office to get Homeland Security clearance card, etc., etc. There's a bunch of running around to do.

Usually, your instructor will do this. But, in this case his instructor (guy I work for) found a new student right away. I have an appointment for my truck in service early Monday morning & REALLY needed a break to catch up on sleep after my last guy, so I offered to take this one around in my personal vehicle while truck in shop. I'll leave out with him for his 30,000mi minimum (TNT) when all is squared away.

Gives my boss chance to start working with his new student right away.

Was going to tell you the "hit list" was our initiation to becoming a "made trucker", but.......
