I've never had a problem with priming after a filter, there is a priming routine it goes through to self prime, and since it's basically gravity fed anyway.... A new pump on the other hand can be a pain sometimes.T-Booz Thanks this.

Does anyone have part numbers for the DEF fluid cartridge filter for a 2012 Cascadia? I have DD13 but I am sure the filter is same no matter what engine. Want to see if fleet supply can get better price on it. Please Advise

If you don't understand how the Def system works, you won't be able to fix it yourselfOnce you understand how it works, is a really easy fix.

Just a question, as I have zero direct experience with DEF, if the crystallization thing might be an issue, would doing something like a annual complete DEF tank drain and clean out have a good effect? Not sure I have ever heard of anyone doing such a thing, but if DEF degradation over time in the tank and lines is leading to build up that can affect things, then maybe this might be a viable thing to do to reduce incidents.
mortal_oean Thanks this. -
What did they do? Can you post there stories? Do not be afraid to question them but do it in a respectful way or even ask what they did. I would watch if I was you or check on them. From a eye distance. You can always ask to get something from your truck at times to see what is going on. I know drivers have done that before.

Take the DPF out, drill out a big holes in the brick. Pay attention to the sensors, one for pressure in front and one for temperature on the back. Your DPF will never clog again......
