The recruiter told me it was .35 Only to find out that is the team rate. I usually do my research before committing to anything. But, this is one of the times I just jumped into something. Do I regret getting into this industry, No. Do I regret signing on with PAM, absolutely.

New driver here...Just got approved by pam transport and I know theres alot of threads saying how bad pam is but to be honest im just excited to be able to make make money while learning to drive
Milkman719 Thanks this. -
Whynot start else where? There are other megas that are a little better

PAM. Is not a bad place to start, it's quicker here than most places. But there is no truth here, no concern for the driver. Stay 6-12 months, and find a much better place to call home. There are pros here, but the con's are daunting.

For average otr drivers coming out of school, most have to go to a bad company to get some experience. You have the right attitude. I made it a point to look at my first year as a time to learn and get experience. Within a year and a half I was making almost .20cpm more with 10x better benefits.
Take your time, don't hit anything, don't get tickets, learn, and within a year you'll practically have your choice of company.smokingneedle, sevenmph, Canned Spam and 1 other person Thank this. -
LOL, Thx ... I have 15 years exp. The reason I am here is this is the only company with a 2 week OTR with a trainer my wife agreed to. Once she gets her CDL, after 6 months we are heading elsewhere. PAM, is not a long term company.

I would have made them wire me some money

I am the exact same situation. Iv been approved for PAM. How is it over there if you don't mind my asking?

They'll start your off at 25 cpm and make you team for the first 6 months. I was solo right out of the gate except for about two weeks when I had a team mate. I switched my address to my father's address in NY knowing they wouldn't have a lot of people in that area and they couldn't find me a team mate after that. Which is what I wanted to begin with. When you're solo you won't get along of miles. Maybe 2200 if you're lucky. I spent most of my time with PAM running from Detroit to Laredo. The trucks are nice, just about every one of them has an inverter and EPU. The trailers are really nice too well, I'd say 85% of them are really nice. Only had a problem with one trailer the whole time I was there. The health insurance is fantastic! I would have stayed if the pay wasn't so low.
