i think they already have an impact, theyre nonsense, logbook rules in general are nonsense, so i get to my delivery and dont have enough time on my 70 untill after midnite, so its afternoon but i will wait untill after midnite to drive, by the way im wide awake but i prob wont b at midnite, makes sense lol and how could how many hrs u worked 7 days ago possibly have anything to do with how tired u are today, its all complete nonsense and anyone who believes it is a fool. like i always say, you wanna know why drivers are tired, same reason slaves were tired, its these slave companies that are the problem not the drivers. who do u think is more tired, drivers dispatched like a slave or someone choosing when to run and not to run based on their needs and not the companies, without a useless dispatcher.
now i know they have to do somthin to keep maniacs from driving non stop but elogs arent a solution. i would think the solution would be to figure out why people kill themselves for money in the first place, its called mass brainwashing and manipulating peoples thoughts to get them to be slaves. my rant is over but anyone that has to ask why drivers are tired either already knows why and isnt gonna do anything about it or is a complete idiot.

its sad that because of all these slave companies, that the owner op trying to run a business based on his needs and doing it safely has to pay the price. the next question will be why theres so many idiot drivers out here, my answer is who do you think wants to put up with this nonsense. ask youself this, does your dispatche ask how you feel or if your tired lr how many hrs u have left. if it was legal to drive 20 hrs a day thats what companies would dispatch it around, then they would say "well driver u had 15 more hrs to drive why did u stop" oh this stuff kills me lol

The government wants to take away your ability to work safely so they create this problem so they can offer you the solution to the problem the government created

Dharok, tsavory and heavyhaulerss Thank this. -
On one hand people are talking about slave labor, then people seem to say 70 hour or 14 hours a day not enough time. I don't understand that. We all work for money for the most part. If people are willing to pay more for stuff we could all work 40 hours a week and go home. I don't this social in general wants to pay that price, since everyone wants stuff the cheapest they can get.
We could pay drivers $80,000 a year and have everyone drive 45mph and almost nobody would die in traffic accidents. Society does not want to pay that price because they want stuff cheaper or faster -
As much as we are told that speed kills, I think driving all day long at 45 mph would be a lot less safe than going down the highway at highway speeds.Dharok Thanks this.

I've done ELogs, im on paper now. It's really not as bad as a lot of people think IF you are a company driver. I can't remember how many times I heard before I went to ELogs the standard quote "just make it happen" I wonder how hard these megas would be pushing their dont know any better drivers . on one hand it keeps these companies from cracking the whip to a point. It's not gonna shut your truck off or send a big warning to the DOT that you went over by 30 min or so. It's just a digital log book and a lot of companies have admin abilities. I've even been told to just bring it home while I was out of time. The better the company you work for score is the more it gets overlooked. I don't agree with it on a lot of other issues. I have driven more then a time or 2 drowsy because of not being able to sleep when I had to stop bright and early in the morning . as for the loophole for older trucks you know that door will be closed very fast . probably some "fee" or more frequent inspections , who knows anymore . this is exactly why I haven't gone O/O yet. I want to see what direction this will go. It's already cut throat enough out here the way it is

I'm pretty confident they will harass drivers who run older trucks to get away from e logs.
