CB Peak and tuned

Peak and tune by someone that does good work is fine, but remember you don't just turn up the wattage, they will also check modulation and a good tech will even scope it.

Sure a tuned up radio will be fine on your antenna.
Make sure to set the SWR for that radio.

 

Just remember that people with no knowledge respect other people with no knowledge. There's a lot of people that call themselves "technicians" all over the country who have absolutely zero knowledge about amplitude modulation and they are respected by their customers because their customers are totally clueless
