How much experience before landstar will hire me on? And how much can I expect to pay for insurance per month? And maybe lease a flatbed trailer? Or if it'll be better just to buy my own trailer elsewhere? And maybe any other expenses I can expect, just started 7 months ago, but staying a company driver def not gonna work for me, I'm not sure how much tags and all that fun stuff will cost me per year leasing on to landstar. Thanks to anyone who takes time to inform me.
landstar info please

Have you bought a truck yet? I would get approved by Landstar first before going out buying a truck when it's time. Landstar is pretty selective, so there is a good chance they won't lease on someone that barely meets the minimums, especially in today's market. You should still apply when the time comes though, you never know.

I'm three quarters through the process, but I just can't decide if the time is right to switch companies. Van rates are so bad I just don't know what I'm getting into.
