well for the first month schneider has been a great company to work for they have just pissed me off though. i found out back in september 2007 they had changed a policy of all new hires getting a minimum of $500 for the first 26 weeks. now this changed in and of its self does not piss me off what realy gets me is that i started talking to them in october of 2007 and they were still touting the policy watch out for what the recruiters tell you and if they offer you "guarenteed" items get them in writing or they arnt guarenteed.
Schneider changed a policy 500 minimum

You said it! I was hired and started with Schneider on Oct 6th 2007. For the month preceeding this (the recruiting stage) I was told exactly the same thing and even had it in writing TWICE from my recruiter. When I brought this to their attention the only answer I got was that "it went away". They didn't give a dam that I had it in writing.
Though the 'in writing' part would hold up in court without an issue I chose not pursue it any further, not worth the time and energy.
Couple that problem with the fact that they screwed up my paycheck EVERY week I was there, I left them in early December and went to work for a better company, at which I am totally happy now! -

There, that should make you feel better.

No way you guys don't make $500.00 per week
-
Who do you work for now?
-
First run with Schneider....
Drove 2508 miles. Had 2184 on paycheck.
Pay? $291.
Next paycheck was screwed up too. They NEVER paid me correctly while I was there! I wasn't until I quit that my pay was fixed and paid to me what was owed!
Household Movers Guide miles also screw you out of alot of money! -
Watkins Shepard Trucking!
I love it. They pay for a lot of extras.
Like EVERY time you bump a dock you get $5
EVERY time you drop OR hook a trailer....$5.
it goes on and on and it really adds up!
Big difference from Schneider.LackofMotivation Thanks this. -
Any new guys get 500.00?

This posting is over 8 years old. It says the policy went away.
lovesthedrive Thanks this. -
Only way SNI pays anything to new drivers is if they go team. At least that is what I observe in their job listings.
