I'm guilty there. The iPhone is a tad more secure, but the same can be done with them.
-
While I do think Apple is more secure, I was just poking at you and having a bit of fun... Cheers!
-
I would just do it because it actually makes your life easier and besides you can use your phone bill as a tax write off at the end of the year.
-
I'm pretty sure their app isn't available for my phone, and I'm not about to downgrade my phone to gain the ability to install their app...so they'd have to provide the compatible device and either provide a service plan for the device or pay me to add their device to my own plan...otherwise it just ain't happening.
firemedic2816 Thanks this. -
ALL of MILLIS Trucks have hand held SCANNERS that you plug into your QC, when you are done, scan your BOL, stick it in a trip envelope and hold on to it JUST IN CASE. Any time the scanner goes bad, just stop by ANY Terminal and get another one NO Questions asked... But I agree with the Majority, I have had OTHER Companies I have worked for (Fire/Ems) mandated that I download, made it SIMPLE, YOU WANT ME TO Download an APP that benefits YOU then give me a device to do it on...(thinking I would call their bluff) I get stuck with a company paid DROID, that I could also use for my personal phone if I would like, and they paid for everything

So what about those of us on PRE-PAY plans? I don't have a phone bill per se, just every month I top up my phone how would we go about writting that on taxes?
-
The same way, you pay each month, use the amount you pay for the prepay and deduct it. That simple

You are free not to work for this employer and others like them.
Guys the world has changed. Byod (bring your own device) is accepted and practically mandatory for any job paying above mimimum wage.roshea and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
The fact that the world has changed is obvious. It's always changing, but the idea of it being mandatory for employee's to "byod" is absurd. Employers have to provide their employee's with five cent dust masks and you're sitting here saying they can make their employee's purchase expensive electronics? That simply isn't true. Nowhere in this country is it an established and legally accepted practice that you must purchase and maintain your own cell phone to use for company purposes.12 ga Thanks this.
