Update. Well the wife completed school. 5 weeks, then she went to orientation. She finds out that she has to do everything there she did at school. Plus, it's not 2 weeks with a trainer, it can be up to 5+ weeks depending on if you meet all their requirements, then you come back to the main yard, do all the school maneuvers again, get tested again, more hoops, more baloney for sweat shop pay. And there is talk they changed the team pay, all new drovers must team for 6 months from what I hear. 17.5 CPM team, and it may not be all miles driven , and only up to 4000 miles per week. Plus, any delays on the road such as down time, and breakdowns increase your time to finish and go solo. Honestly, PAM and their school are a big waste of time, unless you have a big bank roll to hold you over indefinitely. I'm looking at a small carrier, lots of miles for team, and no games. If hired, as a rookie she will go from $300-$500 per week to $1350 a week , or more.

Wow $$442 a week to live out of a truck. You can make that at McDonald's and be home each night.

They have been doing the must team 6 months for a couple of years now. Was .17 I guess it's .175 now and is supposed to me all miles of the truck. Of course that's their mileage calculation which is usually about 10% short of actual miles customer to customer. If she does everything correctly at orientation she won't have to retest after training. That from a friend who just went through that process

Nope, they changed it. She said the student had to do 30 backings in 2 weeks, multiple tests on board, a full pretrip every day, and drive. After training, students had to go back and do the course, pretrip, tests, and pass everything. That coming from someone that was in orientation yesterday. Out of 52, 2 said they were staying, many were applying in orientation to other companies.

Ok well that's the latest info then. Thanks. It's a screwed up company. Have her do the time and put it behind you.

I applied to a company that will let me train her. She will go from $300/$400 per week to $1350 a week, as a rookie. I hope we get hired.
