It seems most drivers on this forum would just take this employer abuse and just move on.
no not me my website http://topnotchaz.net/ and i have called there brokers and told them what aholes they where for using them, i have filed a complaint with the Arizona industrial commission ,and have lawuers wanting to take my case.i will winMtn Gal Thanks this. -
Typically drivers with years of experience know better than to just sign something without reading it and don't even consider a 10-99 type of company therefor avoiding the mess your in. While you may get some money in court by the time you add up your time spent in court and waisting days off in court it won't amount to much.
Good luck to you.Pumpkin Oval Head, Lonesome, Toomanybikes and 1 other person Thank this. -
Lol you are funny!! So you have 1500 plus for lawyers and gave them over $1500 of free service. Man you will get laughed out of a court room. Keep believing shady lawyers like you believe shady trucking companies. I'm sure you will sue your lawyer for taking your money next.
Mack the problem is with all these drivers. Who can't find employment elsewhere. Who bend over backwards to these fly by night outfits, and then cry because they didn't use lube.
It's amazing that he says he has 15years and never heard of a 1099 outfit. Doesn't even know when he is going to get paid? Says the contract was 15 pages when it seems to just be 1 or two at the most. Can make web pages, and has a lawyer on retainer. Keep dreaming of big bucks from carriers who make more money off drivers then they do pulling freight. Good night and continued sweet dreams. LoLToomanybikes, mladen86, BoostedTeg and 2 others Thank this. -
They're usually covered by insurance. Beats having a stroke, too.

That what a lawyer is for,so you dont have to go to court, and i have also reported them to the IRS with a copy of the contract

At some point you will have to go an testify. I'll bet you also that any previous ding, dent, or damage that was on that truck will be against you on the counter suit that will be filed on you. So that new paint job your going to be providing is going to cost more than your four weeks of working. Looks like at the end of this court battle you might be forking out some cash. Be prepared

Come on guys..Lets support him a lil' thru this.
While going to work for them was so Wrong...At Least lets hope he gets some comfort out of this..And,Of Course that company no longer operates ..
I'm still baffled on how such a 3rd grade level of wisdom could be incorporated in a contract for drivers to sign..
Just Amazing
