Lol, well if calling something he signed "3rd grade level" supportive then lol...

I think the judge will feel no pity for either side.

If it was me I would just chalk it up as a lesson learned and move on... 4 or 5 weeks working for someone isn't the end of the world.

You can tell the drivers that made it past the 3rd grade.

I don't care if he knew about the contract or not they still screwed him over while he was trying to earn an honest living!!!! It's sad something illegal can be made legal because of some stupid contract. It would be like someone robbing a bank and when they get caught they pull out a contract saying they had the right to do so.

I hope he nails em to the wall and puts them out of business ...
And so does about 150 million others drivers across this country
.... Don't worry bat, You got enough support out here, do us all a favor and put those low life's out the back door with the rest of the trash, we need to do everything possible to get rid of companies like this .... What are they worth to anyone anyway?

That's why you read before you sign which would eliminate any BS from ever getting started because you would tell them thanks but no thanks and move on to the next job. Simple.

If drivers would read their contract, they would be out of business. No one would drive for them.

I agree people do need to be more responsible on both ends.

You ever hear of some of the ridiculous things that rock stars ask for in their contracts with venues? Stuff like, a bowl of skittles with all the red ones removed, cheese cut in squares exactly 3/8" to a side and not a hair more or less, rooms kept at exactly 72.5 degs, etc etc.? You know why that is? It isn't because they are prima donna ########, for the most part. It's because that's the easiest way to tell if someone actually read and understood the contract. If they show up and there's red skittles in the bowl what else about the contract did they miss?

Now imagine you have a $150k truck that you are just going to throw the keys to some guy you don't know except for a cursory background MVR and PSP check. You want to protect your company from guys not doing their jobs and ruining your equipment and company record. And the easiest way to see how good they are at being detail oriented and doing their job is to start with the contract, and attach dollar amounts to penalties for not doing their job. If they read the contract then they know what is expected of them and the cost for not living up to those standards. If they don't, well, that's their problem.

You call them scumbags, I say they are business people who have no patience for idiots and ########. Have to say I identify with them more than the driver in this case.
