First time I have heard that 2006 rule. About 6 months ago I was told by an insurance company that they didn't insure trucks over 15 yrs old unless you had an established authority and a clean record.

One thing @EMCO_Trans hasnt mentioned is how long the drivers he took on have had their CDL's. That makes a huge difference in today's market. Insurance companies are getting hammered with claims on all the new entrants/new CDL holders

i probably don't have any useful advice for you but first year of insurance is the worst, might slow down a bit and give it some time. also a tow away and a driver log violation in your first 4 months is not helping. after i made it threw my first year with no tickets claims ect i was able to get into much better insurance rates and company.

I looked into it but never did anything about it. I am just glad I survived this whole situation with my own company.

2 guys 15+ years, other two 3+ years and had one with 1.5 years and last one joined my company at like 10 monthsnof cdl exp. That was not the issue with progressive, they just did not like that i added too many trucks too fast.whoopNride Thanks this.
