67 is a busy highway. Glad there were no life threatening injuries.

I'm not understanding why all those straps are loose or compromised and laying over the side, onto the ground.

Looks like they may have been cut by the load? Both ends are still connected to the ratchets as far as I can tell? Dont see any hooks on the ends laying on the ground. He was lucky that one strap was across in front of that top bundle. It would have probably slid up to the front?

That looks like j b dedicated. Bad news for everybody. Load looks like drywall, but probably not.

Good straps should not have been "cut" by a wood product load, even without strap protectors.

Looks like James Hardie concrete siding. Edges are pretty sharp and pretty strong. Would cut a strap almost as well as sheet steel would with no edge protectors. And some good X straps with edge protection on the front of that load would have prevented that load shift.

That "weather protect" covering they put over the units doesn't help. That stuff is slick, often to the point of damaging product to get straps tight enough for more friction.

You are right there skellr. You can't hardly walk on that stuff if there is a little rain or snow on it. It's slick enough to make securing an issue for sure.
