Some brokers want to track you by your cell phone.
How many of you agree to this, and what do you think of it?

    Lol.

    No.

Unless they are buying me a cell phone and paying for the plan so that it is separate from my personal phone.

The transflo app only works with the location setting on.
    I deleted it.
I was talking to a driver in a bar that worked for a real small company, he could see where the other drivers were and zoomed in on one and we could tell what side of the bar he was sitting at.
That was cool, but no thanks

ATS does this a lot. I do not like it,.. but its just an app and you can disable or opt out at any time.

You can track a phone without an app. installed. There are 3 required parameters. Internet connection, ph logged in to Google account are 2 of them. Even with a ph turned off it can be pinged. Pull the battery out then your good to go. Now get off the ph and do something. ;-)

You can turn the TransFlo location off and it will still work. Go to settings and unclick on "Capture Location Information". There are also apps that will spoof GPS locations.

These days you pretty much have 2 choices. Either you are on the grid or completely off of it. You are fooling yourself thinking you have some control and "they only see what I want them to see"
Me, I am liking the off the grid option more and more. Idaho, I think.

Put that smart phone into a airplane mode or pull the battery for some peace and quiet. It serves you, you are not slave to it.

    Right?

I just bought a cheapo 30 dollar prepaid smart phone, first thing it did was drain ALL availible minutes for internet tracking in a few weeks. Then asks for more money to keep the internet side of it going.

Flip Phones have recently been discarded because the G2 network is being replaced and upgraded to G4 now. So when you stop using a flip text/voice only... your options grow limited.

Im going back to flip, I don't need this internet tracking crap.

That depends. For my company, Transflo+ pops up the message:

    LOCATION SERVICE DISABLED
this is required by your company
    to continue using
    TRANSFLO MOBILE+

So it's up to the receiver.
